Growing on Instagram in 2020 is a really hard mission to accomplish for a complete beginner with no experience on social media. The competition is extremely big and new people don’t know how to overcome it, so they just leave it and move on. I felt the same as all the other beginners when I just created my theme page, but luckily I found some ways to overcome that competition, didn’t give up and now I have an account with almost 13 thousand followers. Over this time I gained experience which is priceless and I want to share it with you.
In this article, I will talk about a really important thing which may lower your competition on Instagram a lot. It is choosing your niche. A lot of people really underestimate the importance of choosing the right niche for you and when their “plan” doesn’t work out, they just quit, so I will tell you my best tips on how to choose the best niche for you!

1. CHOOSE A NICHE YOU LOVE
Choosing a niche for your page may not be an easy task, but the most important thing to remember while you're choosing a niche is to pick the one you truly love, so it wouldn't be boring to create content every single day. The niche doesn’t have to be something you know a lot about, but it has to be interesting to you.
2. CHOOSE A NICHE THAT IS NOT TOO COMPETITIVE
Here comes the problem, if you like cars and you want to create a car page, you will have a couple of thousand competitors with thousands of followers. What you got to do to find the right niche is to choose something you like, but not a lot of other people like or it’s just a new niche that was invented not too long ago, then you will be able to get followers much more easily and quickly.
3. CHOOSE A NICHE THAT IS EASY TO MONETIZE
This point is optional for some people, but for most of you, it’s necessary. A lot of people create pages to make money from Instagram. Although a lot of beginners think that the best way to monetize an Instagram account is by selling shoutouts, it’s actually not. The two best ways in my opinion are affiliate marketing and Shopify dropshipping and you need products to take action in these businesses. If your niche doesn’t have any products that you could sell (for example nostalgic photos), then you won’t be able to make much money from that page.
